Saturday was my son's 11th birthday. We decided we wouln't be doing a party this year but he asked if he could have a sleepover with his cousins and we agreed. The boys arrived about 5pm Saturday and we had pizza and soda. We moved the furniture out of the way in the living room so they could play the X-BOX Kinect. There were 6 boys plus my son. Throw in my husband, daughter and my cousin and there's 10 altogether. There was screaming, jumping, laughing and lots of lots of fun!

I retreated to my room and left my husband with the boys to do their thing. I woke up Sunday morning to a quiet house, checked to make sure all was in order and went back for another little nap. About 7:30 my husband woke me up and said the boys were awake and hungry. I had promised them I would make them a big breakfast. I cooked up 2 lbs. of bacon, 1 lb. of link sausage, 1 box of pancake mix, 2 dozen eggs and a dozen hash brown patties. When breakfast was ready, they gathered around the table and I couldn't believe the silence. They were so busy eating, they didn't stop to talk. When breakfast was over, they wasted no time getting their gear on to go out and play basketball. Unfortunatley, we were experiencing a heat wave and the temperature outside was in the high 80's.

My daughter took them to CVS to pick up some water balloons and they came home and made some fun of their own getting wet. My son had such a great time. His cousins are his best friends and he loves when they spend time together. I remember how much fun I used to have with my cousins when I was small. Now he's looking forward to summer when they can do it more often.
